US Solar (pv) Resource Data

Recently, someone asked us how many hours of sunlight we factor in our energy production calculations. Fortunately and because solar is not a new form of energy, we have plenty of historical data to draw on. The NREL (National Renewable Energy Laboratory), ¬†has gathered a tremendous amount of data on sunlight which we use in our calculations. Here’s a visual of the work they are doing and a link if you’d like more information about the data they are collecting. National Renewable Energy Laboratory – Solar NREL-US solar resource map
